Purolator USA Introduces Service for Small Package Delivery Within U.S.

JERICHO, NY – November 14, 2007 -- Purolator USA, the small-package and freight forwarding subsidiary of Canada’s largest integrated distribution services company, has introduced a new service for small package delivery within the United States.  

U.S. Domestic Service Small-Package provides Purolator USA business customers with several ways to consolidate intra-U.S. small package shipments with Purolator’s industry-leading U.S.-to-Canada services, at a more cost effective rate than leading competitors.

The new service marks a re-emergence of the Purolator brand in the domestic U.S. market.  Purolator Courier began U.S. domestic operations in 1947 and the brand was active in the U.S. up until a wave of industry consolidation in the late 1980s.  Purolator Courier continued to operate as the industry leader in Canada and, in 1998, bought back the right to use the Purolator name in the U.S., and the company was reincorporated.

In more recent years, as Purolator USA focused on its industry-leading cross-border services,and on building a strong regional branch network, it became evident that the Purolator brand remains recognized and well respected among U.S. businesses.

In total, Purolator USA’s delivery service offers customers five different options to choose from, depending on how quickly goods need to arrive at their destinations.  Each delivery option is zone-based, which means that freight can skip over unnecessary zones.
