Account Executive-Long Island
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Identify
and qualify prospects and sales opportunities in expansion sales markets
- Selling
additional services to existing E
level customer base and develop contacts and build relationships with
these customer decision-makers
- Coordinate
sales activities with other Purolator internal contacts throughout the
various departments in the company.
- Positioning
Purolator service capabilities to customers in the account base,
qualifying and proposing new services and negotiating rate increases.
- Liaison
with other departments and sales staff to seamlessly implement new
contracts
- Applies
a complete knowledge of all the organization’s products/services and
policies
- Assess
and analyze customer’s shipping needs and offer Purolator services and
rates to gain additional business.
- Keep
records in database of all prospects and maintain record of a all phases
of activities.
- Occasional outside prospecting and travel will be required.
- Progressive step to Major Account Executive position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent with minimum of 2-5 years of cold-calling experience with a proven track of successfully building a customer base.
- Formal sales training or past sales experience would be a definite asset.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain a trusting customer relationship.

Must be self motivated, proactive and have a high energetic approach to problem solving.
- Strong computer skills with good presentation skills required.
